coroKids is an art project for children
The Project !
We want the kids to be witnesses of these exceptional times and publish the outcome.
These contemporary testimonials and snapshots from the perspective and the minds of children shall remind us of this time and might even lead us to reflect on our own memories and emotions.
Maybe the pieces will raise questions. Did some things improve? What lasted? Did we actually learn something?
But first and foremost: What did it do with us?

What is happening now?
We are currently moving from a global pandemic that effects each and everyone to the isolation of individuals. Suddenly our individual behavior has an effect, positive or negative, on our society. A lot of children for example feel responsible for their grandparents safety. Children have to stay home and are not allowed to go to school or even to their neighborhood playground in order to avoid an infection. They are re-educated on the basis of fear. Everyone counts. That is a huge responsibility for us and a lot of stress for our children. The world is upside down! Suddenly we see children taking responsibility for adults. A bit of their unburdened childhood gets lost. In addition, we might be misled by our own perception. We believe to be the only ones that experience fear and troubles and often don’t have the courage to talk about our incriminating feelings.

ALL RIGHT! A diary is always something very personal and confidential. However, with this project we want to find a way out of the current isolation caused by the pandemic. We want to show the children that we all share the same fate. With their contribution they get to share with the world their thoughts, experiences, fears, worries, questions, visions and strategies. A feeling of solidarity can evolve and the soul emerges out of isolation and solitude. They consciously face their situation, they connect spiritually with other children and together they create something: "A book about the Corona-period through the eyes of the children!"
